About me

My name is Ana-Maria Alexandra Paunica and I am studying BSc Management with Marketing. I am interested in volunteering, traveling, reading, shopping and walking. I have chosen this course because social networks have become an important topic in today’s society and because they have a massive influence on social connections, career advertising and networking. This module helped me develop and widen my knowledge about the significance of different topics such as the filter bubble, crowdfunding, crowdsourcing, social contagion, datafication, artificial intelligence, virtual identity and privacy of data.

During my second year, I respectively scored 76% and 71% as overall course grades in the Employability and Digital Marketing courses, which made me realize that I want to pursue a career in the social media field. Because of this desire, last summer, I obtained the opportunity to work for a company as a Social Media Manager. I had to create and manage the Facebook and Instagram accounts of the company that I worked for, creating more brand awareness for the business and gaining an increased audience on those accounts. This opportunity helped me acquire more knowledge and skills and to expand my networks since I had the chance to work with famous influencers. Moreover, during this year, I have managed to get 75% in a group project in which me and my team had to create a brand placement proposal. All these courses had an important influence since they offered useful knowledge, skills and experience that helped me understand the MN3536 course’s information and content.
